About the Village of Somerset
The Village of Somerset is an "urban village" located in Ames, Iowa, directly north of Iowa State University. Our Village includes interesting architecture, village greens, walking and biking trails, a pond with a Pavillion, family-friendly parks, a clubhouse and pool (separate membership required), and a commercial town center. We think it's a great place to enjoy small-town life next to one of the Midwest's finest universities.
Generally, the SPOA Board meets at 7 PM on the first Tuesday of the month at the Somerset Clubhouse.
(2400 Aspen Rd, Ames, IA)
Due to our COVID-19 Isolation guidelines, our next SPOA Board Meeting will be online.

The Village of Somerset is comprised of four main property types each with an association of its own:
The board receives numerous requests for fence approval each year.
Please refer to the fence guidelines on the Covenants page for information prior to submitting a request for approval to the Board.
