Welcome to the Somerset Property Owners Association (SPOA) website. We appreciate your interest in Somerset Village and our neighborhood association.
The Village of Somerset is an "urban village" located in Ames, Iowa, directly north of Iowa State University. Our Village includes interesting architecture, village greens, walking and biking trails, a pond with a pavillion, family-friendly parks, a clubhouse and pool (separate membership required), and a commercial town center. We think it's a great place to enjoy small-town life next to one of the Midwest's finest universities.
Properties
The Village of Somerset is comprised of four main property types. All property types belong to the SPOA, but they each have associations of their own that provide governance too.

The SPOA Board & Meetings
The Somerset Property Owners Association (SPOA) is a board made up of community members just like you. Together, we take action to continue to make our community a better place to live. This Board takes care of all of the public parks, walkways, and green spaces in our neighborhood.
Generally, the SPOA Board meets at 7:00 PM on the third Monday of the month. SPOA board meetings are open to all property owners.
